CareMe Bioplastics Ltd is a plastic waste collection and recycling company focused on reducing plastic waste pollution in Rwanda by recycling plastic waste into plastic furniture and creating employment opportunities for the unemployed youth, especially women and girls in Rwanda. Although the business, structured as a Social Enterprise has raised grant funding since inception, they were looking for extra funding to expand into DR Congo. The company also needed us to develop a comprehensive growth plan and an OHSC document for business compliance and regulation.
Our first step was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the plastic recycling industry, as well as the market for plastic furniture. We identified key trends, opportunities, and challenges in the industry, and used this information to develop a detailed business plan that was tailored to the specific needs of CareMe Bioplastics.
The new business plan we developed for CareMe Bioplastics included a detailed financial model that projected the company’s revenues, expenses, and cash flow over a five-year period with key financial ratios to demonstrate the health of the company. We also conducted a thorough analysis of the company’s operations, marketing strategy, and sales channels, and provided recommendations for improvement.
Our team worked closely with the CareMe Bioplastics team throughout the process, ensuring that our recommendations were aligned with their goals and objectives. After several iterations and feedback from the CareMe Bioplastics team, we were able to deliver a final business plan that they were extremely happy with.
